Restricting the Bishop's Mobility

Before the bishop is caged, its mobility must be reduced move by move: every pawn advance and piece exchange that shortens its diagonals counts double. The examples show patient play against a strong but slowly strangulated bishop — and the defender's typical attempts to break out in time.
