Artificial Castling
Artificial castling is castling by hand: the king walks to safety in several moves, usually after the rook has already gone. It costs time, but it avoids the tactical targets that real castling can create — and sometimes the hand-made king position is simply better. The examples weigh the tempo loss against the safety gained.
