Opposite-Colored Bishops
With bishops of opposite colours the attacker must play to keep the bishops on the board while building a second weakness; the defender blocks with his bishop and trades everything else. The attacking bishop belongs on the colour of the defender's weak squares. The chapter, with its further middlegame studies, shows the standard methods of both sides.
