Transferring the Bishop

Bishops are long-range pieces, and much of their power lies in re-routing them to the diagonal where they really act. The transfer usually goes through the quietest squares, far from the opponent's active forces, and is finished before the enemy realises the destination. The games show the full routes and the decisive effect on arrival.
